About Us

The Plainview Synagogue is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of background or affiliation. This synagogue was established in 1963 by Rabbi Gutman and Rebbetzin Chana Baras, under the directive of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

The Rebbe constantly emphasized how all the Jewish people are equal, regardless of background or level of observance. His personal love and devotion to every single Jew, to G-d and his Torah, and for the holy land, continue to direct and inspire the Plainview Synagogue.

Under the guidance of Rabbi Shmuel & Malky Shmueli, we invite you to become a part of our community and experience the warmth and vitality of our congregation. Whether you’re looking for a place to pray, learn, or connect with other Jews, you’ll find a home here.

We look forward to welcoming you!
